Colin Wilkinson A.K.A Kurt Ruslin was the owner of the late Dead Media Records. Now co-owner of Disco Death Records, an online record store with by appointments and pop up sales located in Minneapolis. Tirelessly serving his community by making quality music available to all. The preservation of vinyl is his passion. Whether it's spinning at an event or selling someone their first record sharing inspiring music with others is what he lives for.
Originally from Milwaukee Wisconsin Colin moved to Minneapolis in 2008 for college at McNally Smith College of Music. Playing in multiple bands threw out the years and running Dead Media Records he bartended to make the money to make sure that store stayed alive. Due to COVID-19 Dead Media was forced to shut down but from the aches came Disco Death Records. A strictly online platform for these crazy times.
He is also the creator foe Reels For Change, A mixtape series specifically for making mixtapes to download and made to order physical tapes for the revolution that is upon us. 100% of everything that is made will be donated to many Black Lives Matter movement in Minneapolis.
